By applying new state-of-the-art technologies to the WATT/Puppy design, Wilson Audio has successfully reimagined this most iconic of loudspeakers. The form factor might be unchanged – The WATT/Puppy still mounts an isolated two-way enclosure atop a dual-driver bass section – but so much more is new. The CSC tweeter was first developed for its Alexx V model while the bass and mid drivers are leveraged from the costlier Sasha V. In addition, the crossover network, bespoke cabinet materials, spike assemblies and pin-point adjustability of the head unit are all optimised for this one model. Performance, meanwhile, defies expectations: phenomenal bass control and power, explicit detail, and first-rate musicality. The WATT/Puppy is a triumph of audio engineering.
