Crowning Perlisten’s R series of subwoofers, the R18s employs the advanced digital processing platform and app-based control of the manufacturer’s flagship D series, and combines them with a monster 18in/460mm glass-fibre driver designed from the ground up specifically for this model. Powered by its built-in 1kW amp, the R18s performs much how it looks – brilliantly large in scale and output, plus able to dispense deep bass hits with authentic levels of slam – but there’s high-end refinement here too.
